The question of what can one person possibly do that would have a positive effect on the political events of the day has been ringing in my head for 30 years. I cannot say that I have an answer, but I do know at least in my case, it can’t be nothing.

The way I see we the people, is and it always has been three thirds. One third of us want to live our lives independent. Free to stand or fall on our own. We want government small, we want it to be accountable to us. We don’t want every aspect of our lives handed over to some unaccountable bureaucracy. We don’t appreciate big brother looking over our shoulders every step of the way. The second third of us want government large and imposing on every aspect of the citizens lives. They believe that most everybody is incapable of making good decisions. That if left alone we would surely mess everything up. The poor would all die and the rich would laugh in glee. The remaining third are the apathetic. Just leave me alone, I don’t care, nothing can be done about it anyway.

I’m a retired Air Force Senior Master Sergeant turned political singer, songwriter, activist and have had a passion for music my entire life performing in choirs and bands in school, at church, and in military clubs while stationed overseas. In 1990, I competed at the annual Kadena Air Base, Okinawa talent competition, won “Best Female Vocalist”, went on to compete at regional and worldwide competitions, and from there was one of the 28 cast members selected from over 200 worldwide finalists to tour with the Air Force’s elite “Tops in Blue” expeditionary entertainment troupe performing for military families at 137 bases around the globe.

For more than 20 years, I was a Singer/songwriter/ entertainer and for several years, part owner of a popular, local music hall, called "The Little Ole Opry Co." Located near Burfordville, Mo.
